Music for the Church of God

Our love towards the Father and His Son can be expressed in a beautiful way. Music, whether vocal or instrumental, can be exciting, joyous, and indescribable as it lifts us in spirit, showing our love, and thanks for God's blessings and presence. Although some religious circles may believe musical instruments are not to supplement our whole-hearted adoration unto the Lord, there is ample proof in the Scriptures that, indeed, they can be. 1 Chronicles 15; 16:41-42; 2 Chronicles 5:11-14; 7:1-6; Revelation 14:2-3 are just a few Scriptures supporting that claim.

We are told in Ephesians...

Ephesians 5:18-20 - AFV

18.   And do not be drunk with wine, in which is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit:
19.   Speaking to each other in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and offering praise to the Lord with your hearts;
20.   Giving thanks at all times for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

To worship Him fully, even as a method of prayer, singing is a unique form that God allows. Let us never forget that special praise that only comes through music and song.
