Biblical Proofs: VI. Our Responsibility

(i) We are Responsible to Prove All Things:

When salvation is offered by God, each Christian bears a responsibility to prove all things concerning His truth, regardless of the teacher or source. In a study, when biblical doctrine is researched and proven out, exercise discretion to filter out wrongful intentions, deceptions, and conclusions. Always guard the doors of your mind; do not take salvation lightly. Fight the good fight and do not let anyone steal your crown, for the devil will attempt every opportunity to introduce destructive heresies in hopes of making you falter.

4.   Then Jesus answered and said to them, "Be on guard, so that no one deceives you." (C.R. Mark 13:5; Luke 21:8)

Acts 17:11 - AFV
11.   Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with all readiness of mind and examined the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.

I Thessalonians 5:21 - AFV
21.   Prove all things. Hold fast to that which is good.
