Biblical Proofs: V. Man's Ways

(i) Mankind's Way Leads To Sin And Death:

Truly, the carnality of mankind is self-destructive. Man naturally does not make himself subject to God's law because of the sinful nature inherited from the fall of Adam. Because of this, man inherently believes that his thoughts and paths are right in his own eyes. Instead of embracing the truth revealed by God in His word, man rejects it for sinful and selfish gains causing him to remain dead in his sins and fall short of God's loving offer of salvation through Jesus Christ. Only by God opening the mind of each individual to His truth and changing the heart from within through the power of His Holy Spirit will one be able to obey God fully in spirit and truth.

Proverbs 14:12; 16:25 - AFV
14:12.   There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.
16:25.   There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is the way of death.

Proverbs 16:2 - AFV
2.   All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirits.

Romans 8:5-8 - AFV
5.   For those who walk according to the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but those who walk according to the Spirit mind the things of the Spirit.
6.   For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace,
7.   Because the carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to the law of God; neither indeed can it be.
8.   But those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
