(U) 1 John 2:23 - KJV
- Original: Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- Correction: Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
The text containing "(but) he...Father also." is an addition based upon the Latin text and is not in the original Greek. These italicized words should be omitted.
(U) 1 John 5:7-8 - KJV
- Original: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
- Correction: For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
The text containing "in heaven...in earth" should be struck out and removed. This text was not in the original Greek manuscripts, but were found in some Latin manuscripts of a later origin. This text undoubtedly crept into the text because of the Trinity doctrine, of which the Bible does not support.
(U) Revelation 11:1 - KJV
- Original: And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
- Correction: And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
The text, "and the angel stood", should be omitted.
