Statement of Beliefs
Additional Resources
The beliefs and doctrines of every Christian must be rooted in the foundational truth taught to us by Jesus Christ and the Apostles as revealed in the Holy Scriptures. All together, they are the instructions from God on how we are to worship Him and live, not only physically, but spiritually. The lack of understanding or misapplication can have serious consequences, even unto the possibility of losing the salvation offered through Jesus Christ, if not repented of.
When it comes to the pillars of God's true faith, they have always been in existence, remaining through times of peace and persecution. Though Christians are living in the world, God commands His people to come out of the world and not assimilate their teachings and doctrines of worship. Only upon Jesus Christ in the Old and New Testaments are the foundations of faith and dogma to be built. In no way should organized religion or the imaginations of men be substituted.
The doctrinal beliefs I keep are based solely upon the Scriptures. Those listed here are a summarized version of the doctrinal beliefs produced by the Christian Biblical Church of God. On their website, the original content and authorship are located. The listing here is in a note-style format,
Though the listing below is not exhaustive, it does give the foundational understanding of what I believe and keep. I, the author of VKICG, am a member of the congregation of the Church of God. High Plains (COGHP). COGHP supports the leadership and teachings of Fred R. Coulter and the Christian Biblical Church of God (CBCG).

-
- God the Father sent His Son to reveal to mankind, not only God's plan and purpose, but also the love, grace and mercy of God the Father.
- Of those that God seeks out, God the Father calls each individual directly to salvation, grants repentance to those who heed the call and imparts His Holy Spirit as an act of begetting [after baptism and hands laid on them].
- Those who receive the Holy Spirit from God the Father will become one of His children, now begotten, but will not yet be born until the resurrection from the dead [born again].
- From the time after being begotten till death, God the Father continually loves and works with that individual to help them grow in grace and knowledge.
- He hears and answers His begotten children's prayers directly and aids them in developing the perfect love and character of God.
- The end result of God the Father's plan is the growing of the God Family [Elohim],
- When everything is fully accomplished, God the Father would have reproduced after His own Kind.
GOD, THE SON -- JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH
show / hide- THE NATURE OF THE ELOHIM WE KNOW AS GOD THE SON
-
- God the Son is a part of the Family of God.
- In the beginning (concerning the Family of God) two Elohim existed eternally together...the Elohim we know Who became God the Father and the Elohim we know Who became God the Son.
- God the Son is Elohim, as is God the Father, therefore, they are of the same likeness and character, but separate individual Eternal Spirit Beings.
- Everything that God the Father created was created through God the Son, including mankind.
- God the Son is revealed to us in the Scriptures, both Old Testament [as the Lord God and Lawgiver] and New Testament [as the Word].
- God the Son intercedes between mankind and God the Father, but represents God the Father and does His will.
- God the Son is known fully as Jesus Christ of Nazareth and is the Savior of mankind from his sins in God's plan. - JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH
-
- Because of the fall of mankind, only mankind's Creator could save him from eternal death.
- To be the Savior of mankind, the Son of God willingly divested His Glory, Majesty and Power as Elohim to become one of His creation.
- He was begotten of God the Father through the power of His Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and lived as a fleshly male human being by the given name of Jesus [full covenant name - Jesus Christ of Nazareth].
- Not once did Jesus sin, though He possessed the same sinful flesh and temptations as all of mankind. - JESUS CHRIST, OUR PASSOVER, IS SACRIFICED FOR US
-
- Jesus became the perfect sacrificial Lamb unto God the Father through His crucifixion and death to atone for all the sins of all of mankind and redeem them unto the Father.
- Jesus was dead and buried in a tomb for three days and three nights [72 hours] and afterwards was raised up [resurrected] by the power of God the Father unto Eternal Life to be the Firstborn from the dead and the First fruits of them that slept.
- Upon ascending into Heaven, He was restored to His previous Glory, Majesty and Power and now sits at the right hand of God the Father as High Priest, Advocate, the Head of His Church and Intercessor of mankind. - JESUS CHRIST, KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORDS
-
- Jesus Christ will once again return to earth, at the appointed time of God the Father, in power and glory.
- He will then set up on earth God's government and rule, known as the Kingdom of God, and rule righteously over all of the nations.
- As King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus will rule and reign with His brothers and sisters [the resurrected saints - children of God the Father] and His Kingdom will have no end.
NATURE OF MANKIND
show / hide- THE CREATION OF MAN
-
- After an unspecified amount of time after becoming desolated, and on the sixth day of the re-creation of the earth's surface, the Elohim we know as God the Son [Jesus Christ prior to His human birth], created Adam and Eve after Elohim's image and likeness, but just a little lower than Elohim.
- They were fully human, created male and female and subject to temptation, though originally created sinless. - THE NATURE OF MANKIND
-
- Elohim gave unto mankind a spiritual essence that is united with their brains that elevates them above all the rest of God's creation on earth.
- This spiritual essence is known as "the spirit of man" and enables mankind the capacity to...
- Speak.
- Think and create.
- Learn and teach.
- Plan, devise and build.
- Worship.
- Love.
- Choose.
- Feel emotion and desire.
- Build character.
- Mankind was also given by Elohim freewill, the choice to choose obedience/life or disobedience/death.
- When Adam and Eve sinned by eating fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, Elohim cursed them [and ultimately all of mankind] to reap the pains of living and eventually the penalty of death.
- From hence on, mankind has inherited physically this sinful nature and, because of it, is naturally hostile towards God and His way, though we are born with a mixture of good and evil.
- God did not create mankind with inherent immortality, but when a man or woman dies, their...
- Conscious thoughts cease.
- Body returns to the earth.
- Spirit [of man] returns to God.
- Remaining time is spent awaiting their appointed resurrection and judgment.
- GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION FOR MANKIND
-
- Because of God the Father's love, mercy and grace, through Jesus Christ, His Son, He has provided a plan of salvation for mankind, to save him from his sinful nature and eternal death.
- God ultimately desires all of mankind to be reconciled unto righteousness and enter into His gift of eternal life as a literal son or daughter in the Family of God [Elohim].
GOD'S LOVE TO US
show / hide- HOW GOD'S LOVE IS MANIFESTED TOWARDS HIS CREATION
-
- Mankind was created after the image and likeness of God [Elohim].
- All of the earth and all of God's bountiful creation was given to mankind for their benefit and dominion.
- God the Father offered His Son as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, to pave the way for mankind's salvation.
- God is offering all of mankind the opportunity to be born into the Family of God, to be resurrected from the dead and become a literal child of God.
- God is extending His mercy and grace to those He has called, interacting with them daily through Jesus Christ.
- God lovingly blesses and chastens His children accordingly so they will grow properly spiritually.
- GOD'S LOVE TOWARDS THOSE NOT CALLED TODAY
-
- According to God's plan of salvation, His reconciliation and mercy will be extended to the remainder of mankind, to those that are not called today, at the appointed time.
- Those who are not called today will have their true "first" chance at a later time. Though not apparent to most people, God is actually showing mercy to those not called by blinding them now so they will not make the mistake of committing the unforgivable sin.
OUR LOVE TO GOD
show / hide- OUR LOVE IN RETURN TOWARD GOD
-
- Our love towards God is not derived from anything within ourselves, but is the result of God having loved us first.
- It stems from God's efforts, by the power of His Holy Spirit, to save us from our sins by opening up our minds to our sinful nature, revealing to us God's greatness, mercy and love, and leading us to the acceptance of Jesus Christ's shed blood and sacrifice.
- When we heed God's calling, it results in our love towards God by doing His will.
- We are lead by the Holy Spirit to genuine repentance towards God.
- We accept the shed blood sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the remission of our sins.
- We become baptized and partake in our part of the covenant pledge, to bury the old self and rise in newness of life.
- We receive God's Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands.
- We continually study and learn from God's Word, the Bible, and grow in God's grace and knowledge.
- Above all else, God gives us the ability to love Him with all of our heart, mind, strength and being.
- We strive to live by every word of God willingly, in spirit and in truth, by the power and strength He gives us through His Holy Spirit.
OUR LOVE TO THE CHURCH [THE BRETHREN]
show / hide- LOVING ONE ANOTHER IN THE FAITH
-
- All of God's begotten children share a special fellowship, a bond and unity that is only derived from the love of God towards them.
- Jesus Christ gave a command to his followers, "love one another as I have loved you."
- All true Christians are to share that love from God the Father and Jesus Christ with one another, for all of God's children were called and chosen to be a part of the Family of God.
- This fellowship and love is special and unique, not understood by the world, and is a sign of the true believers of God.
THE BIBLE [THE HOLY SCRIPTURES]
show / hide- THE HOLY ScriptureS ARE GIVEN FOR MAN'S BENEFIT
-
- Throughout time, certain individuals were chosen by God and empowered with His Holy Spirit to write the Will of God towards mankind and have it preserved for future generations.
- These writings ["books"] are known as the Holy Scriptures (or collectively as the Holy Bible) and is the Word of God.
- God gave His Word to impart unto mankind foundational understanding and knowledge that would not be known or learned otherwise. - SOME KNOWN FACTS
-
- Some truths about the Bible that can be discovered are...
- It is made up of the Old Testament and New Testament.
- Old Testament - written in the Hebrew language. Preserved by the Mazoretes.
- Old Testament - canonized by Ezra.
- New Testament - written in the Koine Greek language.
- New Testament - canonized by the apostle John.
- Altogether contains spiritual knowledge vital to salvation, of which man could not know on his own.
- Teaches us about the nature of Elohim and mankind's creation.
- Gives us a history record of mankind from creation up to approximately 100 A.D.
- Gives us, through Divine prophecy, knowledge of future events to take place at the return of Christ and the establishment of His Kingdom on earth.
- Teaches us God's laws and commandments, how to live by them in the letter and spiritually.
- Teaches us God's plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.
- Is the most unique book on earth, unequal to any of man's creative writings.
- It is God's Word to mankind...living, breathing for all of any era.
NATURE AND PURPOSE OF GOD'S LAW
show / hide- THE NATURE OF GOD'S LAW
-
- God has always directed His creation on how they are to live and worship Him.
- As revealed in both the Old and New Testaments, God's law and commandments are...
- Designed to define what sin is.
- Designed to teach man how to fully love and worship God.
- Designed to teach man how to fully love his neighbor.
- Holy, just and good.
- Perfect.
- Truth.
- Based on Love.
- Not grievous or burdensome.
- THE PURPOSE OF GOD'S LAW
-
- To teach us what sin is.
- It DOES NOT redeem us from sin.
- Unto all mankind, even in the beginning with Adam and Eve, God has always revealed His laws and commandments.
- Because God is not a respecter of persons, all physical men and women are required by God to obey His laws and commandments.
- God's law is universal for all men, for it is the same regardless of an individual's knowledge of (or lack thereof) God's laws and commandments or God Himself.
- God's law is binding on all men at all times and Scripture clearly demonstrates that God judges individuals and nations equally, granting blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience.
- To those individuals who are more knowledgeable of God and His truths, more responsibility for obedience to it is required.
- In two ways are God's laws to be kept, in the letter of the law and in the spirit of the law. - OBEDIENCE IN THE LETTER OF THE LAW
-
- In God's plan, He does things first physical, then spiritual.
- God's law is physically based.
- Defines sin physically.
- Does not convert the heart, only guides the individual's outward actions towards God and neighbor in a loving way.
- Obedience does not offer, or result in, salvation or eternal life.
- Obedience results in physical blessings and a high probability of long physical life.
- Disobedience is sin. (Also known as transgression and lawlessness.)
- Disobedience results in physical curses and may possibly forfeit your physical life.
- God expects all of mankind to obey His laws and commandments in the letter.
- Applies to those individuals chosen by God as well as Gentile people.
- Applies to individuals as well as nations as a whole.
- Mankind's nature is naturally hostile towards God's law. (Also known as man's carnal nature.)
- Obedience can be accomplished by individuals (...though not perfectly, one may still fall prey to sin), but only if they are close to God and His truth.
- Jesus Christ is the only man who kept the letter of the law perfectly. - OBEDIENCE IN THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW
-
- In God's plan, He does things first physical, then spiritual.
- Though God's law is physically based, Jesus Christ elevated It to a spiritual level, making it spiritually based.
- Defines sin spiritually (that is, to an elevated degree higher than in the letter of the law).
- It is the prerequisite to obedience in the letter of the law.
- If you keep the law of God Spiritually, you will by nature be keeping the letter of the law physically.
- It is more binding.
- It is not contrary to God's Grace.
- It is established by faith.
- Must have God's Holy Spirit dwelling inside you to accomplish obedience.
- Helps in converting the heart and overcoming mankind's natural hostility towards God's law. (but only through the help of God's Holy Spirit).
- Obedience results in physical/spiritual blessings, in the Lord.
- Obedience is conditional for eternal life.
- Disobedience is sin. (Also known as transgression and lawlessness.)
- Disobedience results in physical/spiritual curses and may possibly forfeit your physical life.
- Disobedience will result in the loss of the gift of eternal life.
- God desires all of mankind to obey His laws and commandments in the spirit of the law.
- Applies to those individuals called and chosen by God (for only they will have the ability to keep it with the help of the Holy Spirit).
- They are written in the heart and mind of the converted and allows them to walk daily in physical and spiritual obedience to God.
- Obedience can be accomplished by individuals (...though not perfectly, one may still fall prey to sin), but only if they are close to God and His truth and have God's Holy Spirit dwelling with them.
- Jesus Christ is the only man who kept the spirit of the law perfectly.
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
show / hide- THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
-
- The Ten Commandments that God established for mankind. (Exodus 20:2-17) - AFV
-
2. "I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3. You shall have no other gods before Me. -
4. You shall not make for yourselves any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth.
5. You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me,
6. But showing mercy to thousands of those who love Me and keep My commandments. - 7. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
-
8. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
9. Six days you shall labor and do all your work.
10. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter; your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your livestock, nor the stranger within your gates;
11. For in six days the LORD made the heaven and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and sanctified it. - 12. Honor your father and your mother so that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God gives you.
- 13. You shall not murder.
- 14. You shall not commit adultery.
- 15. You shall not steal.
- 16. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
- 17. You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."
-
2. "I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
- THE FOUNDATION OF ALL OF GOD'S LAWS
-
- They have been in effect since the creation of Adam.
- They govern all of God's creation both physical and spiritual.
- They are in effect for every human being whether they are aware of them or not.
- The first four teach us how to love God and are summed up in the greatest commandment, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your mind, heart and spirit."
- The last six teach us how to love our neighbor and are summed up in the second greatest commandment, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
- God's commandments overlap each other in effectiveness.
- Obedience brings blessings.
- Disobedience brings curses.
- Obedience to them are a condition for eternal life.
CLEAN & UNCLEAN MEATS
show / hide- THAT WHICH GOD HAS DESIGNATED FOR FOOD
-
- God is our Creator and Sustainer. As such, He provides for His creation. For this reason, God has designated for us, who were created in His Image and Likeness, what is appropriate to eat to sustain our life and health.
- God has given to man both plants and animals for a food source, albeit wisdom and understanding is required.
- God created all the animals and every animal has its purpose.
- Contrary to human wisdom, not all animals were given by God to be eaten.
- Scriptures reveal that God has designated every animal into one of two categories, clean and unclean. This knowledge was made known from the beginning at creation.
- Abel knew of what offerings were clean when he brought His offering to God.
- Noah knew of which animals were clean and unclean when he brought them onto the Ark.
- Abraham knew which animals were clean when he fed God and the two Angels on their way to judge Sodom and Gomorrah.
- Abraham knew which animals were clean when he offered the substitute sacrifice for Isaac that God provided.
- Eating those animals that are designated as unclean will result in degraded health, though it is not always noticeable immediately.
- God's dietary laws extend even into the preparation of a clean animal before consuming.
- All blood must be drained from the animal. God does not permit the eating of blood.
- An animal must not be strangled to kill it so that it retains its blood.
- An animal must not be eaten if it has been killed by another animal or dies of its own accord.
- CLEAN ANIMALS
-
- To be considered clean among the warm-blooded mammals (or beasts of the field), they must have these following characteristics: BEASTS MUST PART THE HOOF (BE CLOVENFOOTED) AND CHEW THE CUD.
- To be considered clean among the flying animals, they must have these following characteristics: YOU MUST NOT EAT ANY BIRD THAT IS A SCAVENGER.
- To be considered clean among the water animals, they must have these following characteristics: FISH MUST HAVE FINS AND SCALES.
- To be considered clean among the insect animals, they must have these following characteristics: INSECTS MUST HAVE WINGS AND THE SORT OF LEGS ABOVE THEIR FEET WHICH ENABLE THEM TO LEAP OVER THE GROUND (i.e., locusts, grasshoppers and certain beetles). - UNCLEAN ANIMALS
-
- If a warm-blooded mammal does not have the two characteristics mentioned above, it is considered unclean.
- If a flying animal is a scavenger, it is unfit to eat and considered unclean.
- If any water animal does not have the two characteristics mentioned above, it is unclean.
- Apart from certain insects mentioned above, all other insects are considered unclean.
- All reptiles are unclean. - CLEAN & UNCLEAN IN THE NEW TESTAMENT
-
- God's law of clean and unclean meats are not nullified or done away with in the New Testament.
- Jesus Christ, Who was the God of the Old Testament, did not do away with any of His laws.
- Of the Scriptures used to condone the eating of any animal, if studied in their context and letting the Scriptures interpret the Scriptures, it is evident that they are not approving of such a practice.
- Jesus disputed with the Pharisees about the cleanliness of one's hands, not of clean and unclean meats.
- Peter's vision of the sheet with clean and unclean animals, and his command to eat of them, is clearly interpreted by Peter in context that it was a representation of not calling any man "common" or "unclean". Though a vision by God, it was not about the doing away of the dietary laws of clean and unclean meats. In addition, Peter did not even eat!
- Though harder to understand, Paul taught that Christians were permitted to eat clean meats for it is those meats which were to be received with thanksgiving and not to be refused. Only in the Scriptures do you find what animals are sanctified by God (for human consumption).
THE SABBATH -- WEEKLY
show / hide- THE SEVENTH-DAY SABBATH
-
- The weekly Sabbath was created by the Elohim we know as God the Son. After re-creating the earth in six days, He created the Sabbath on the seventh day by resting, ceasing from all of His works, sanctifying, and making it holy.
- God determines the beginning and ending of days at sunset. The Sabbath day is known to us as the day called Saturday and is designated from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday.
- God's ordained times are set from the foundation of the world and God has never changed His set times (ergo, no other day of the week is ordained as the weekly Sabbath day).
- All of mankind is obligated by God to rest on the Sabbath day because that time belongs to Him and is a memorial of creation. It is given for mankind to rest from his works, worship the True God, fellowship with one another and learn instruction from the Lord through His Word.
- The weekly Sabbath has been in effect since creation, even before the giving of the Ten Commandments to Israel, and is still in effect today.
- The keeping of God's Sabbath is a part of the Ten Commandments, which is God's law.
- The Sabbath is God's Time, not man's, and Jesus Christ is Lord of the Sabbath day. Jesus also observed the Sabbath day properly and set an example for us to follow.
- Jesus Christ taught that it is proper and just to do good on the Sabbath day.
- The New Testament Church taught and kept the Saturday Sabbath, the same Sabbath that Jesus Christ kept, the Sabbath of creation.
- Proper Sabbath keeping is a sign of the covenant relationship between the faithful, true believers and God.
- Keeping God's Sabbath day is a condition for eternal life.
SABBATHS -- ANNUAL
show / hide- GOD'S ANNUAL SABBATHS
-
- God has revealed in His Scriptures that, in addition to the weekly Sabbath day, God ordained seven annual feasts and holy days, also called Sabbaths.
- These annual feasts and holy days were created by the same Elohim who created the weekly Sabbath day.
- The dates of God's annual feasts and corresponding holy days are stated by God in His Scriptures. All are accurately identified and calculated using the Calculated Hebrew Calendar, which God revealed to Israel to use. These Holy Days may fall on any day of the week, save for Pentecost -- this always falls on a Sunday.
- God's plan of salvation for mankind is revealed through these feasts and holy days.
- These feasts and holy days were kept by God's people in the Old Testament as well as the New Testament. Under the New Covenant, these feasts and holy days hold special, spiritual meaning and understanding. In the Kingdom of God, they will also be kept.
- Just as pertaining to the weekly Sabbath, the proper Sabbath keeping of these feasts and holy days are a sign of the covenant relationship between the faithful, true believers and God.
- Major events of God's Plan are fulfilled on these days...and are kept to the full. - THE SEVEN ANNUAL FEASTS AND HOLY DAYS OF GOD

SIN
show / hide- THE TRANSGRESSION OF GOD'S LAW
-
- Sin is the transgression [breaking] of God's law and commandments, which are holy, just and good. Sin is also known as lawlessness and anti-law.
- Sin can be committed even by defiling one's conscience, doing wrong when one knows to do good.
- The penalty for sin not repented of is eternal death.
- All of mankind has sinned against God and is subject to death.
- All sin can be repented of, and forgiven by God the Father's generous mercy, through faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice to pay your penalty for breaking God's law. - THE UNPARDONABLE SIN
-
- The only sin not forgiven of is the unpardonable sin, which is a willful, persistent rejection of the Holy Spirit of God the Father, His salvation, His mercy and forgiveness. It stems from a willful rejection of obedience to God's law and resulting in one's conscience being seared. A rejection of God the Father's works is also unpardonable, for His works are wrought through His Holy Spirit and this is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
- Once a person has committed the unpardonable sin, it is impossible for them to be convicted of the Holy Spirit and repent, for their conscience is seared.
- Those who have committed the unpardonable sin will die the second death in the lake of fire, this is their judgment from God.
- There is no resurrection from the second death in the lake of fire.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
show / hide- THE SPIRIT OF GOD
-
- The Holy Spirit is the power by which the Elohim we know as God the Father and the Elohim we know as God the Son accomplish their will.
- The Holy Spirit is the power of God, NOT a person or part of a Trinity. - THE FUNCTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
-
- Those who believe in Jesus Christ, His sacrifice and the salvation offered by God the Father can become a begotten child of God through the receiving of the Holy Spirit from the Father. It is offered upon...
- Repentance of one's sins.
- Baptism by immersion in water.
- Laying on of hands.
- The begettal of the Holy Spirit, and its indwelling in the believer, enables one the ability to withstand human nature, Satan's temptations, to overcome sin (if exercised appropriately) and develop the love of God.
- When believers are led by the Holy Spirit they are not under the penalty of the law, for they will not be transgressing it.
- The Holy Spirit enables the believer to do the works acceptable to God the Father. The Holy Spirit helps produce the following fruits...
- Love.
- Joy.
- Peace.
- Long suffering.
- Gentleness.
- Goodness.
- Faith.
- Meekness.
- Temperance [self-control].
- The Holy Spirit is essential for salvation.
GRACE
show / hide- THE GRACE OF GOD THE FATHER
-
- Grace is unwarranted, undeserving, unearned favor imparted unto the True Christian believer by God the Father, through Jesus Christ and His personal sacrifice, for the forgiveness of our sins and continual keeping.
- God's Grace covers our sins allowing them to be forgiven. His Grace allows the True believer to continually receive from God the Father....
- His unerring love, goodness and goodwill.
- His help and care in our lives.
- His blessing, gifts and benefits.
- Though God's Grace is never earned, it is NOT granted without effort from the individual. Grace is only granted and imparted unto the faithful upon...
- Faith in Jesus Christ's sacrifice for the remission of one's sins.
- Repentance of one's sins.
- Baptism by immersion in water.
- Grace is NOT a license to habitually continue in sin. If sin is committed, Grace [upon daily repentance] allows Jesus Christ to continually intercede for us on our behalf, helping to keep us sinless and blameless before God the Father.
- For believers under Grace, Jesus Christ is our...
- Redeemer.
- High Priest.
- Advocate.
REPENTANCE
show / hide- TRUE REPENTANCE
-
- Because sin is the transgression of God's law, repentance is a deep felt sorrow and remorse towards God for having committed them, and is the beginning, or first step, towards being reconciled to God the Father and Jesus Christ.
- God seeks only True godly repentance that leads to conversion, not worldly repentance. - THE PROCESS FROM GOD THE FATHER
-
- Repentance begins with God the Father interacting with the sinner and opening up their mind to the wrong they have done [i.e. having sinned and are a sinner]. God leads them to understand that their sin is against God the Father and Jesus Christ and that their sins have contributed to the death of Jesus Christ.
- Individuals are led to repentance only by God the Father's grace, which is a loving gift, moving the individual to confess their sins for forgiveness, remission and to be pardoned through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
- True repentance leads to real conversion, which is a dramatic, profound change in a person's life and attitude towards God. A Truly repentant individual will desire to live by every word of God and turn away from sinful actions and thoughts, being led by the Holy Spirit.
- Repentance of one's sins is not a one time event, but an every day, ongoing process for the perfecting of the individual through Jesus Christ.
BAPTISM (OF WATER)
show / hide- THE PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF WATER BAPTISM
-
- Once an individual has undergone true, Godly repentance, has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and desires true, Godly change, that believer must be baptized.
- Baptism is the full, bodied immersion of the individual in a pool, or body, of water.
- Baptism symbolizes the individual's death of their old self. Upon doing so, they are spiritually co-joining themselves into the death of their Savior, Jesus Christ.
- The individual partakes of Jesus Christ's crucifixion, death and burial through this baptismal death, yet continues to live their life.
- The individual arising out of the watery grave is symbolic of partaking in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, to live unto newness of life.
- Through baptism is the blood of Jesus Christ applied as full payment for that individual's sins.
- After baptism, the individual must receive the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands. Upon the receiving of the Holy Spirit, that individual is led by the Holy Spirit to live their life in loving obedience to God the Father and Jesus Christ.
JUSTIFICATION
show / hide- GOD THE FATHER'S LOVING GIFT
-
- Justification is to be put in right standing with God the Father after one's sins are removed through the shed blood of Jesus Christ's sacrifice.
- The state of justification is offered only through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His shed blood for our sins.
- Justification is conditional upon our obedience to God's instructions. It is offered if one sincerely repents to God, believes in Jesus Christ's sacrifice for our sins, is baptized (through immersion).
- It is a gift from God the Father, the gift of righteousness.
- It is the righteousness of Jesus Christ that is imputed to the believer.
RIGHTEOUSNESS
show / hide- RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE LAW
-
- Elohim, our Creator, is also our Lawgiver, for God has given to mankind, even from the beginning with Adam, His righteous laws to govern his ways. These righteous laws apply to mankind's relationship with God and with fellow man.
- God's law instructs us as to what sin is.
- Righteousness of the law comes from obedience to God's law in the letter. This obedience results in blessings, both physical and material, such as...
- Good health and long life.
- Deliverance from enemies.
- Peace round about.
- Blessings from above and below.
- Abundance in all things.
- Righteousness of the law, through obedience of God's law, does not result in, or earn, eternal salvation.
- Righteousness of the law, from obedience in the letter, was a "schoolmaster" to teach us the true carnal, sinful nature of mankind.
- A better righteousness is required for salvation to be imparted unto mankind. - RIGHTEOUSNESS OF FAITH
-
- The righteousness of faith exceeds far above that of the righteousness of the law. It cannot be earned through works of law, but is a gift from God the Father through the abundance of His grace.
- Jesus Christ magnified the law to reveal its full meaning and intent. It is to be obeyed both physically and spiritually. Spiritual obedience to God's law cannot be done apart from Jesus Christ.
- Jesus Christ kept God's law perfectly, both in the letter as well as spiritually, through the power of Holy Spirit received without measure from the Father. Jesus always did those things which was pleasing in the eyes of the Father.
- Because of Jesus Christ's perfect obedience, it is His righteousness that is imputed to the believer.
- The gift of the righteousness of faith (which comes from Christ) comes only through faith in Jesus Christ and the receiving of the gift of the Holy Spirit.
- Once begotten of God with His Holy Spirit, the believer receives the mind of Christ, is strengthened to obey in full spirit God's law and begins to have God's law written upon their minds and hearts.
- Through this gift of righteousness does God give us the power to bring forth worthy fruit, the fruits of the Spirit unto eternal life.
- According to the Scriptures, "The just shall live by faith."
SANCTIFICATION
show / hide- WHO GOD IS SANCTIFING
-
- The act of setting something, or someone, apart for a holy purpose and use.
- The believer who is begotten from God the Father (upon repentance, water baptism by immersion and having the laying on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit) is sanctified unto the Lord.
- This sanctification is a continuing state.
- True believing Christians begotten by God the Father and are sanctified are referred to in Scripture as the saints.
BAPTISM (OF THE SPIRIT)
show / hide- THE RECEIVING OF GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT
-
- The receiving of the Holy Spirit from God the Father is the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- This is done after a true believer repents, is baptized by being fully immersed in water and has the laying on of hands.
- Through the laying on of hands, the receiving of the Holy Spirit is the spiritual begettal from God the Father and that individual is now a begotten child of God.
- Once begotten of God, that individual is now part of the Body of Christ (the spiritual Church of God).
FAITH
show / hide- WHAT TRUE FAITH IS
-
- A gift from God through the Holy Spirit. It is the very faith of Jesus Christ.
- Knowledge of the Ever Living God and His only begotten Son (Jesus Christ).
- Belief in God's existence and almighty power.
- One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.
- Active, not stagnant.
- Essential for Salvation.
- If not coupled with good works (those ordained by God the Father), then it is dead. Good works without faith is vanity and of no value to God. (Good works alone will not bring one salvation.) - WHAT TRUE FAITH OF CHRIST DOES
-
- Is active in a believer's life and results in producing good works (though the believer knows the good works do not earn salvation).
- Does the good works that God ordained beforehand through Christ Jesus and is made perfect by them.
- Brings forth fruits of righteousness.
- Gives us firm belief in what cannot be seen and assurance that what God has said He will deliver.
SALVATION
show / hide- WHAT SALVATION IS
-
- By the generous grace of God the Father, it is a special, precious gift to the believer.
- Salvation is only granted through faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.
- Salvation is a gift from God. It cannot be earned through works of law.
- Salvation is the reconciling of the sinner to God through the belief and acceptance of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
- The reconciled sinner has his/her sins forgiven and forgotten by God.
- Through the begettal of God's Holy Spirit, the reconciled sinner is saved from the penalty of sin (which is eternal death) and is granted eternal life upon resurrection.
- After receiving God's gift of Salvation, while a person still lives a mortal life, that one can still choose to reject and lose that gift of salvation by committing the unpardonable sin. (See THE RESURRECTIONS.)
- The opportunity to receive the gift of salvation will be offered to every individual of mankind, but only according to God's Plan and Time.
- Salvation is currently offered to only those individuals whose minds have been opened by God the Father and have pursued the requirements that God has laid out in the Scriptures. If an individual's mind is not opened by God the Father in their current physical life, God will provide for them an opportunity at a later time, for God desires all to be saved. (See THE RESURRECTIONS.) - THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SALVATION
-
- Salvation is not just given freely without thought or consideration. God requires that some conditions be met.
- One must have knowledge of what sin is and repent of their sins. (Sin is the transgression of God's laws and commandments.)
- One must believe on God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, and His sacrifice. (It is Jesus Christ Who paid the penalty for all of mankind's sins through the shedding of His blood. For those who believe in Jesus Christ, He is the Author and Finisher of salvation.)
- SALVATION IS A PROCESS
-
- God the Father must first open the mind of an individual to the spiritual understanding of His truth. (One does not have an opportunity for salvation if their mind is not opened by God the Father first.)
- Once the individual's mind is open, they are led to the understanding of what sin is and repentance.
- The individual is led to faith in Jesus Christ to save them from their sins (Jesus Christ as their personal Savior).
- Upon true repentance and baptism (full water immersion), the laying on of hands is done for the receiving of the gift of God's Holy Spirit.
- Upon the receiving of God's Holy Spirit, the individual is begotten by God, but not yet born. (see THE RESURRECTIONS.)
- The believer, through faith, begins to live a life of obedience to God through His Word.
- In harmony with God's Holy Spirit and His Word, the believer begins to work out their own salvation (i.e. the individual makes their own choices to study God's Word, to pray, to live according to God's laws and commandments, etc.).
- For salvation, spiritual growth is a lifelong process, not an instantaneous event.
- The stages in the process of salvation are distinct.
- The believer is:
- (Ephesians 2:1-10) Saved from their sins past and from the adversary, Satan the Devil. (This is done upon repentance, baptism and the laying on of hands for the receiving of the Holy Spirit.)
- (I Corinthians 1:18; 15:2) In the current process of BEING saved as they continue in loving obedience to God's Word and keep the faith. (This is done upon continual growth through daily Bible study, prayer, repentance and obedience.)
- (Romans 7:24-25; I Corinthians 15:12-57; I Timothy 3:14-16) Saved ultimately at the resurrection when Jesus Christ returns.
- When salvation is completed at the resurrection, we are ultimately born again unto eternal life as a spirit being into the Family of God as His child. - (Ephesians 2:1-10) Saved from their sins past and from the adversary, Satan the Devil. (This is done upon repentance, baptism and the laying on of hands for the receiving of the Holy Spirit.)
LAYING ON OF HANDS
show / hide- THE PURPOSE FOR THE LAYING ON OF HANDS
-
- In the church of God, it is a special act performed by the ordained elders.
- While laying their hands on the individual and asking God in prayer, it is to confer to the recipient a special gift or blessing from God.
- The laying on of hands is required for the following:
- After one is baptized for the receiving of God's Holy Spirit.
- Anointing of the sick with oil for their healing.
- For ordination to the church, whether for a physical or spiritual service.
- For the blessing of little children.
- For a special blessing during a marriage ceremony.
- For other special blessings.
HEALING
show / hide- SICKNESS & HEALING
-
- The sins we commit, both physical and spiritual, result in our sickness.
- On the exception, God does allow sickness to come upon an individual. This is done for a special purpose.
- God the Father can grant healing from any sickness or injury when we call upon Him. By doing so, this is Divine healing.
- God's Divine healing can be done on anyone at anytime, but according to God's will.
- Divine healing is the forgiving of the sins that caused the sickness or injury and the restoration of the individual.
- Divine healing is given because of the price Jesus Christ paid through the stripes (scourging) he received prior to his crucifixion. We are healed through these stripes He suffered.
- To receive Divine healing:
- The individual should call upon the elders of the church.
- The individual should be anointed with oil and have hands laid upon them by the elders.
- All should pray to God for the healing in the name of Jesus Christ.
- The individual should believe in God's ability to heal them, if it is God's will to do so.
- Faith and trust in God is a personal matter between them and God.
THE CHURCH OF GOD
show / hide- THE SPIRITUAL BODY OF JESUS CHRIST
-
- God's true church, known as the Church of God (according to the Scriptures), is composed of those individuals who:
- Have been called by God the Father.
- Have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
- Have repented of their sins.
- Have been baptized in water by immersion.
- Have been begotten by God the Father by receiving His Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands.
- Jesus Christ is the head of the church in all things, appointed by God the Father.
- Jesus Christ is the Head of the church of God, not any one man or group of men.
- Jesus is "the True Vine," God the Father is "the Husbandman" and all true Christians are "the branches"
- The branches (true Christians) must stay attached to the Vine (Jesus Christ) in order to grow spiritually and live, lest they wither away and be removed.
- God does not limit His work through any one single organization. Because all true Christians receive the same Holy Spirit from God, though widely scattered and in different organizations and ministries, all groups that are a part of the church of God will:
- Bear the name of God.
- Keep His Word and commandments (as Jesus Christ magnified and taught).
- Bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- ELDERS OF THE CHURCH
-
- Elders must fulfill the qualifications of I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
- Elders must:- Know the purpose and scope of their calling (to serve the needs of the brethren) in whatever capacity is needed (minister, teacher, pastor, evangelist, other).
- Continue in the true conversion and dedication to God the Father and Jesus Christ.
- Teach the Gospel, baptize the faithful, preserve the doctrines, edify the flock, provide leadership, build up the brethren spiritually, and preach the Word to unbelievers who will listen.
- Love the brethren.
- Serve the needs of the brethren spiritually with humility and love.
- Serve according to the gifts they bear.
- Must not rule or exalt themselves over the brethren.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
show / hide- THE CHRISTIAN'S RESPONSIBILITY TO FAMILY
-
- God teaches us through the Scriptures that a Christian should not be idle, but should work (if able) to provide for the needs of their family.
- Any Christian who does not make an effort to support their family is considered worse than an infidel by God.
- Any personal income should go to providing for the family's basic needs first. All other personal uses of their personal income should come second or later.
- The Christian's responsibility to take care of their family can include the needs of their parents, for they are not to be neglected.
- God requires mercy, not sacrifice, so the basic needs of the family should come before tithes and offerings to God and the Church.
- If one's personal income is so low that it only meets (or barely meets) their needs for survival, they have no increase to give to the Lord. - THE CHRISTIAN'S RESPONSIBILITY TO THE NEEDY
-
- God gives unto all men. Those who have prospered and increased by God's blessings should give unto others who are in need.
- The poor and needy among us should be aided by our prosperity through love and compassion.
- A Christian should give from their abundance to help those in need with a cheerful heart and a willing spirit.
- All giving to help others in need should be done in a Christian attitude of love, service and compassion.
- Those who are blessed with abundance, but does not help those who are in need, may be guilty of covetousness by God. - THE CHRISTIAN'S RESPONSIBILITY TO THE CHURCH
-
- Just as the ministry at the Temple in the Old Testament lived by the offerings to the Temple, so also those who preach and minister the Gospel are to live by the Gospel. In other words, those who preach, minister to the brethren and do the work of spreading the Word of God are to live by the tithes and offerings to the Church of God.
- If God provides an increase, we are to tithe unto God upon that increase to the Church for its work and service.
- Christians are responsible to support the Church and the work it provides with the tithes and offerings of their personal income.
- All who receive tithes and offerings from the brethren for the work of the church are to be responsible and accountable for how it is used.
- No brethren, minister or organization is to merchandise the brethren or extract tithes and offerings from others through fear or intimidation. Such actions will result in stern judgment from God.
- The poor, widows and those who are needy, if exploited for financial gain by the brethren or ministers, will also receive stern judgment from God.
- The poor and needy are to give only as they are able to, with a cheerful heart, no matter how small the amount may be. God will bless those who are able to. - TITHING
-
- All the wealth mankind accumulates come from the earth, whether it is minerals, plant produce or animal life from the land or sea.
- God is the Eternal Provider for mankind, for God has created everything in the earth for man to utilize and benefit from.
- God requires we acknowledge Him as our Provider and Sustainer and honor Him in return with a tenth of our increase. God has required this even from the beginning with Cain and Abel and is not restricted to the laws revealed at Sinai to the nation of Israel.
- A Christian's increase from the Lord in their life can be either physically, spiritually or both.
- Each Christian is responsible to assess their increase and blessing from God. Upon that assessment, they are to tithe appropriately from their heart, willingly and with joy. Tithes and offerings are to not be done under an attitude of resentment or intimidation.
- If a Christian does not tithe from their heart, freely and willfully, when they are capable of doing so, they are in reality robbing God.
- Christians are to render unto God what is due Him and unto Caesar (the civil government one is under the jurisdiction of) what is due (taxes) to Caesar.
- Civil governments are established on earth by God and His will. We are to render unto the civil governments what is due them. This is not included in a Christian's calculations of increase.
- Tithes and freewill offerings are Holy unto God and belong to Him.
- In the beginning, tithes were originally given to Melchizedek. Under the Old Covenant with Israel, the first fruits (tithes) belonged to God and were transferred by God to the Levitical priesthood for the service of the Temple. Under the New Covenant through Jesus Christ, the tithes and offerings were transferred back to the order of Melchizedek. Jesus Christ is the High Priest of the New Covenant after the order of Melchizedek. The tithes and offerings Christians give today are to Him, and are given to the Church to support the work of Jesus Christ.
- The tithes and offerings given to the Church of God are to be accounted for and properly used for the work of the Church. The offerings are to not be exploited or used inappropriately.
THE GOSPEL
show / hide- THE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL
-
- The word "Gospel," from Scripture, means "good news."
- The Gospel is:
- The entirety of the canonized Scriptures to mankind.
- The wonderful news of God's plan of salvation for mankind.
- The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- The coming of God's Kingdom on earth.
- Included in the Gospel:
- Jesus Christ is the Savior of mankind, having shed His blood for the sins of those who repent and are converted.
- The potential for an individual to be forgiven and be a part of the Family of God.
- The rule and reign of God's Kingdom on this earth, with Jesus Christ as the King of kings and Lord of lords.
- The message of the Gospel is preparing individuals for the first resurrection to rule and reign with Christ as immortal Spirit Beings of the Family of God.
THE KINGDOM OF GOD
show / hide- THE "GOOD NEWS" OF THE COMING KINGDOM OF GOD
-
- In summary, "The kingdom of God is the government of the Family of God." -- BELIEFS OF THE CHRISTIAN BIBLICAL CHURCH OF GOD, "Kingdom of God" by Fred R. Coulter.
- The entirety of the universe is ruled by the Kingdom of God except for the earth at this moment in time.
- Though the Kingdom of God does not rule the earth at this moment, it DOES RULE AND REIGN in the hearts and minds of true Christians who have God's Holy Spirit and are called, chosen and faithful.
- True Christians are under the rule of God the Father through Jesus Christ, their Lord and Savior.
- Upon the first resurrection, the resurrected saints will return with Jesus Christ Who will set up and establish the Kingdom of God here on Earth. This will be the start of the Millennium, a 1000 year rule of God's government for mankind without Satan the devil.
- The Kingdom of God will show God's love, mercy and grace for mankind and how they are to live and prosper according to true righteousness -- God's righteousness.
- During the Millennium, the resurrected saints will be immortal, Spirit Beings...literally the sons and daughters of God. Together, with Jesus Christ as their Head, they will rule the earth as kings and priests over all of mankind for 1000 years.
- After the establishment of New Jerusalem here on earth, God's rule will go forth from the earth to all the universe for all eternity.
THE RESURRECTIONS
show / hide- THE TWO TYPES OF RESURRECTIONS
-
- Two types of resurrections are revealed in the Scriptures.
- A resurrection back to a physical life of flesh. (After an individual is brought back to life physically, they will ultimately die another physical death. Examples of this are shown in both the Old and New Testaments where an individual was resurrected back to life for a time until they died a physical death once again.)
- A resurrection as a spiritual, eternal being.
- THE FIRST RESURRECTION
-
- No man presently has been resurrected to an eternal life except for Jesus Christ, the Son of God the Father.
- Jesus Christ:
- Is the God of the Old Testament.
- Divested His Power and Glory to become a human being for the sake of saving mankind from their sins.
- Lived a sinless life in full obedience to God the Father, died on the cross and was buried.
- On the third day, according to the Scriptures, Jesus Christ was resurrected by the power of God the Father and was restored to His former Glory, Power and Honor.
- Was the first to be resurrected from the dead unto eternal life.
- Is called the First of the First fruits of those who slept (those who have died).
- Is also called the Firstborn from among the dead.
- The truth about the first resurrection:
- It is for all the saints of God throughout the span of mankind from Adam unto the return of Jesus Christ.
- It is applicable to the saints of God whether dead or currently living at the return of Jesus Christ. (For an individual to be resurrected, they must die first. The Scriptures teach us that all men must die once. Therefore, those who are alive at Christ's return and are a part of the first resurrection will suffer an instantaneous death at the moment of their transformation to Spirit.)
- It is the transformation of all the saints of God to an immortal Spirit Being just as Jesus Christ is.
- Though we are currently in the flesh, we are now begotten. The first resurrection is considered a rebirth. Jesus Christ called it being "born again" because we are reborn as a new creation.
- Jesus Christ was the Firstborn from among the dead. The saints of God will be millions more who will be born again during the first resurrection at Christ's return.
- It is the birth into the Family of God as Spiritual Sons and Daughters of God the Father.
- Those who are a part of the first resurrection the second death has no power over them.
- The saints who are raised at the first resurrection will rule and reign with Jesus Christ as kings and priests in the Kingdom of God here on earth for 1,000 years.
- THE SECOND RESURRECTION
-
- The truth about the second resurrection:
- The second resurrection will not take place till after the 1,000 rule of the Kingdom of God here on earth by Jesus Christ and the resurrected saints.
- This resurrection will be for all people who have lived and died prior to the first resurrection and have had no opportunity for salvation.
- The resurrection will be to another physical life here on earth.
- Though this is a second physical life, their minds will be opened by God the Father for their first real opportunity for salvation.
- Those individuals who fully accept the sacrifice and salvation offered by Jesus Christ will be a part of the Family of God as a spirit being.
- Those individuals who reject the salvation offered by Jesus Christ will be condemned to the second death.
- THE RESURRECTION UNTO DEATH
-
- The incorrigible wicked and individuals who have committed the unpardonable sin throughout mankind's history will be resurrected to another physical life to join those individuals in the second resurrection who have rejected the salvation of God for judgment.
- (To understand what is the unpardonable sin, see SIN.)
- These individuals, though resurrected to another physical life, will not receive salvation.
- Their judgment from God is to die a second death in the lake of fire.
- This judgment from God is eternal death from which there will be no more resurrections for them.
- This judgment is literally non-existence.
ETERNAL JUDGMENT
show / hide- GOD'S JUDGMENT NOW
-
- All men and women are judged by God's law physically whether they are aware of them or not.
- Those individuals whose minds are not opened by God the Father for salvation at this time are not being judged for eternity at the present time.
- All individuals whose minds have been opened by God for their first opportunity for salvation are being judged for eternity in their current life.
- Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, each individual is given the power and capacity to grow in love, faith, obedience and knowledge of God.
- Because God gives the power of His Holy Spirit to those whom He has called, those individuals are responsible for their personal growth towards God, which is why they are currently being judged.
- Those individuals who purely love God from their heart and are living according to the righteousness of God, God the Father will impute the righteousness of Jesus Christ to that person making them pure and righteous before Him.
- Those who remain in the righteousness of Jesus Christ will be in the first resurrection.
- Those who do not remain in the righteousness of Jesus Christ, or have rejected the Holy Spirit by committing the unpardonable sin, will not be a part of the first resurrection, but will receive eternal judgment. - JUDGMENT DURING THE 1,000 YEAR REIGN
-
- Those individuals who will be physically alive during the 1,000 year reign of the Kingdom of God here on earth after the return of Jesus Christ
and the resurrected saints will live a physical life with their minds open to the truth of God and Satan the devil not present.
- These individuals will have an opportunity at salvation, of which some will accept and some will reject.
- Those that accept the salvation offered by Jesus Christ will be transformed into Spirit Beings and enter into the Family of God upon the fulfillment of their physical lives.
- Those that reject the salvation offered by Jesus Christ will die a cursed and await the second resurrection unto judgment. - THE WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT
-
- All individuals who were not offered an opportunity for salvation during their first physical life will be resurrected again to another physical life after the 1,000 year reign of Christ.
- This will be their first opportunity for salvation with their minds open to the truth of God and Satan the devil not present.
- They will be taught the truth of God and be given their opportunity for repentance and accept His Salvation.
- This time frame for all these individuals to come to the understanding of God's salvation and repentance will be about 100 years.
- During this time, each individual can learn and grow in the grace, knowledge and character of God.
- Those who have accepted the salvation of God will enter into the Family of God as a Son and Daughter.
- Those who have rejected the salvation of God will be sentenced to eternal judgment.
- All the incorrigible wicked and all who have committed the unpardonable sin will be resurrected physically to join those of the second resurrection who have rejected God's salvation to die in the lake of fire. This is their second death and eternal judgment, which is non-existence.
BAPTISM (OF FIRE)
show / hide- WHAT IS BAPTISM BY FIRE?
-
- Just as water is to life, fire is to death (for physical human beings).
- Baptism by fire is not something that is to be sought by those who are begotten spiritually by God.
- Baptism by fire is not the same as baptism by the Holy Spirit or baptism by water.
- Baptism by water--the immersion of an individual in a body of water--is unto eternal life through the death and sacrifice of Jesus Christ: baptism by fire--the immersion of an individual in a body of fire--is unto eternal death.
- Baptism of fire is literally the immersion of the wicked in the lake of fire and is the second death.
- God reserves the lake of fire for the incorrigible wicked to be judged eternally.
- The incorrigible wicked are all those who are unrepentant, having wholly rejected God, His Holy Spirit and His Salvation. These individuals have committed the unpardonable sin. They have had their hearts hardened and their conscience seared by their own iniquities to where they are unwilling to repent (nor indeed can they).
- Those who are thrown in the lake of fire are not tormented eternally, but will be burned up and die the second death. They will cease to live and exist.
